Vampire Overlord System in the Apocalypse

Chapter 62 - Boss Battle!

-----

Clash! Clash! Clash!

Arrow-shaped Black Thunder projectiles were fired over the large groups of Bats, electrifying their entire bodies, and making them roar in pain.

However, they were now strong enough to resist this, as they were E-Rank Monsters, Timassa alone was not capable of killing them in one hit.

And whenever she tried to attack them again…

"GRYAR!"

The Giant Bats would unleash powerful winds from their wings, reflecting the thunder with it like a shockwave of power, flying towards her at incredible speed to bite her head off!

"GRAAAARRR…!"

However, Adamantine leaped over the Bat and bit into its neck, tearing apart flesh as the creature screamed in agony!

Her dark claws began to seep into its flesh, as she slashed off its membranes that made up its wings, making it fall into the ground!

Adamantine then leaped out, as Timassa finished off the bat while it could not defend, with a powerful Black Thunder Spear!

CLASH!

"GRRRUUUOOORR…!"

Poof!

Turning itself into black smoke, the bat only left an Attribute Core.

However, the group of Vampires could not rest, as more Bats emerged from all sides, attacking them with strong gusts of wind, almost forming a storm!

"These bats are so troublesome, they can fly all they want, flap their wings to form storms, and can take more than one hit… or several!" said Arthur.

"We have to work together, even more, Noah-sama wants all of us to train ourselves to increase our coordination… and flight too!" said Iris.

"Ah, Noah-sama is dealing with them!" said Timassa, as the group glanced at Noah breaking through the group of Giant Bats by generating large weapons out of the blood he had collected, slicing their flesh and piercing them until they fell almost in death doors!

"Take them down!" said Noah, as his group nodded and finished his work, while he kept bringing the bats down from their \'high ground\'.

The grinding continued until the Bats were finally cleansed from this area, the group finally took a small break.

"That was… quite complicated… those bats are serious issues!" said Arthur, who was still floating around, forced by Noah so he could get better at air maneuver.

"It is a good challenge for all of you, and I am enjoying myself flying around as well. I believe I am getting even better at using my Vampiric Abilities…" said Noah.

"Well that\'s good at the very least, you\'re getting something out of this Noah-sama," said Timassa.

"I can\'t wait to fly around at your side- OUCH!" cried Iris, as she fell headfirst into the ground again, losing balance in midair.

Noah raised her into the air again.

"If you want to stay at my side you better practice this until you fully master it. I will be able to tell if you did whenever you acquire the Flight Skill, just as I recently did," said Noah.

"Y-You got a new Skill by just flying around?" asked Arthur in surprise.

"Indeed, with it, your flying ability is enhanced, and it feels as if I had always known how to fly… The System will reward you if you master flying with such a Skill, which you can level up to increase its proficiency," said Noah.

"That\'s interesting… To think that we can acquire Skills by doing things…" said Arthur.

"Well we got Telepathy fairly easily by communicating through our minds, it should be part of the Vampire Bloodline to acquire the Flight Skill as well, I believe," said Iris.

"Oh yeah, that\'s right…" said Timassa.

"Well, the best one flying at the moment aside from Noah-sama is… Jon," said Arthur, as he saw Jon hovering above the air rather well, Noah glanced at him with a proud smile, which made Jon blush a bit. Although he was happy to receive his master\'s attention.

"See? Jon has almost mastered it, he\'s indeed someone that puts his mind into learning essential things," said Noah.

"I am… flattered…" said Jon rather shyly, he was fascinated with Noah, receiving his honest praises could not make him happier.

Iris glared at Jon jealously, as she gnashed her teeth.

"Y-You will see! I will also master it in no time!" said Iris, flying up as she was barely managing to keep her balance, at some point, she began to spin around like a tornado until Noah had to stop her, falling into his arms, both of their eyes meeting romantically.

"Ah… Noah-sama, you\'ve caught me~" she said, as Iris neared her lips towards his.

"You\'re hopeless," sighed Noah, blocking her lips with his hand and sending her flying into the air.

"Gyaaaaaaaa…!"

"Oh look, she\'s flying now!" said Arthur.

"Indeed, Noah-sama simply needed to give her a little push!" said Timassa.

"W-Wait, I am not actually flying you know?! I will… hit the ceiling! Hyaaaaa!"

BOOM!

Iris hit the hard ceiling covered in crystals headfirst, as a few of her teeth fell off her mouth…

"A-Auuhh…"

Her teeth, however, grew back almost immediately, but something within the ceiling began to tremble, as cracks opened within the rocks and crystals!

"E-Eh?!" asked Iris in surprise, falling into the ground as she saw the ceiling open wide, revealing a large cave inside!

"W-What the?! A monster?!" asked Iris, as she was caught by Noah and put near the ground, the entire group glanced at the ceiling explode, several large boulders fell into the ground, which they evaded in time.

"GGRRRRUUOOOOOOOWL…!"

An enormous behemoth emerged from the opened ceiling, covered in black fur that shined with a metallic luster, long wings with sharp black claws, big feet with even bigger claws, big ears, and crimson eyes accompanied by a jaw filled with razor-sharp teeth, all combined into a near eight-meters-tall monster.

"So the presence I felt was really a Boss Monster…" said Noah.

"Noah-sama, you threw me towards Boss Monster?!" asked Iris.

"It was just to confirm, and it\'s not like you died or something, right?" asked Noah.

"Oh! Well yeah…" said Iris.

"GROOOOWL!"

The giant bat suddenly jumped off the large cave it was resting inside, glaring at Noah and his group!

It flapped its wings, unleashing an enormous storm of dark winds!

FLASH!

Unlike the combined wind of the Giant Bats, this Boss Giant Black Bat wings unleashed tremendous storms of winds whenever they flapped, without it even having to do any effort!

Noah and his party shielded themselves from the powerful storming wind behind a large boulder, as the Bat roared in anger!

"How are we defeating that?! Not only its giant, but it is also flying, and every time it flies it shoots up a storm of wind! And any long-ranged attack will surely get reflected by the wind!" said Arthur.

"Even my thunder would be reflected…" said Timassa.

"Don\'t worry, it is after all a monster, not an unbeatable being. And an E-Rank Monster… even as a Boss, it will tire at one point," said Noah, as he dropped those words, the Giant Bat suddenly hit the ground, making the place tremble!

Boom!

"I-It really did come down…" said Arthur.

"GROWL!"

The Giant Black Bat Boss quickly noticed Noah and his party presence behind the largest boulder, rushing towards it and raising its wings, which also had tremendous claws, using them to break the boulder into pieces!

BOOM!

"Growl?"

However, Noah and his party were nowhere to be seen!

In fact, a second after, it sensed their presence… right above him!

Noah appeared atop its head while using his blood tentacles to grab his allies.

"Now, fire all your attacks!!!" said Noah, as he summoned dozens of Blood Weapons!
